Lee Lindauer

I was born and raised in Western Colorado, growing up on a cattle ranch until five years old. Yearning for a career that applies scientific knowledge, I earned a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University. I was founder and principal of a consulting structural engineering firm in Western Colorado. Like John Grisham or Robin Cook in their respective professions, I use my knowledge as an engineer and passion for the natural world to impart problem-solving skills to my protagonist and create authentic technical and natural settings. Fortunately, we engineers do have an emotional side and it is integrated into my novels.

When not writing, I spend my time travelling, hiking, house boating on Lake Powell and rowing the major rivers of the West, including the Grand Canyon. I reside in Grand Junction, Colorado with my wife, Teri, on the Colorado Plateau, a beautiful backdrop of "red rock canyons," International Thriller Writers the perfect inspiration for this writer's imagination.

I am a member of the International Thriller Writers, an honorary society of authors, both fiction and nonfiction, who write books broadly classified as thrillers.
